HAM RADIO GEAR AUCTION
HAM RADIO GEAR AUCTION
The annual St. Paul Radio Club Auction will be held on Saturday, January 28th 2012, in the Fireside Room of North St. Paul Community Center, located at 2290 1st St. North. That’s located between the Snowman and closer to the wind turbine, just behind the VFW. We will have the same combination of live and silent sales available; it is your choice of how you want your items sold. Refreshments, coffee and pop, hot dogs and chips will be available for sale. Plus Lisa’s bars and Mandy’s cupcakes, just like Field Day! Just a hint, take a couple treats home for the XYL and while they enjoy the sweets, move your cache into the shack! Your jolly auctioneers will be Mike K0BUD, Ralph N0AWN, Rolf KG0KM and Dale N0PEY with others joining in. The doors will open at 8:30, the Auction will start at 9:30, the silent section closes at 11:30 and we are all out by 1p.m. A 10% selling fee per lot (maximum of $10) is collected by the Club and the profits, after expenses, go to the ARRL Spectrum Defense Fund as usual. Highlights of the all working gear from Tim Olsen include a Kenwood TS-430S w/power supply, Mic and cables, and AT-130 Antenna Tuner, manuals; an old TR-2500 2M HT w/batteries and charger; Hallicrafters S-120 receiver; a Complete Drake station T-4XC/R-4C/MN-4/MS-4 with extra crystals, mic, key and manuals. Many lots (34 at this point) of station accessories and peripheral gear including hard bound QST’s from 1972/73/74/75, will also be on sale. I’m still finding more including a: Heathkit SB-201 Amplifier w/manuals; two 572B’s; Icom IC- 3230A dual band Mobil rig w/manual; a Hallicrafters S-38-in a box to play with; Headphones and speakers; software and two older computer towers; hand held and base scanners; many MFJ and Vanco meters and a Workman VHF SWR/Watt meter. Twenty lots out of the shack! Finally, shake the ARRL moneymaker by donating any salable lot to the Club thereby sending the total price to the cause. I have built up some nice “junque Boxes” for the lucky winners to drool over. The complete set of rules and a Map to the location will be available on the Club website, http://www.stpaulradioclub.org .Historically; we have observed that some of the best deals on equipment are found here. Dale Maroushek, N0PEY, President SPRC
